Well….How to eat well?



The question above does not aim to talk about choices of where to eat, but rather the rational of the source of food ingredients we eat in each meal: where it comes from and how these will make us better our healthy standard of living and environment.


I used to be a typical office worker just like anyone else. At times I did not pay much attention of what I should eat because my priority lied more on its convenience factor. I never questioned about my health because I never had any chronic disease except the office syndrome which everyone has it. My life is completely different when I returned back to my hometown out of Bangkok. I have changed my way of living from an office worker to farmer as I raise my own chickens and plant my own vegetables based on the organic farming method for the past 4 years with the attempt to uphold healthy life and food security. I plant what I eat. I respect the nature and what I get in return is worth it. My office syndrome is completely. My body is healthier. My current work allows me to move like how I get to exercise in fitness. My house gives the jungle alike ambience with fresh air. But wait! I am not trying to convince all of you to quit your job for the organic farming, but I am saying that the healthier consumption habit is the correlations between food, weather, and emotion. The key summary finding to have a healthier life is not about the cooking method, but more about the ingredients and recipes used in every meal.



Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables

It is safe because they come from the organic farming with zero chemical use. Not even the GMOs seeds. Therefore, it reduces you risk from encountering cancer, diabetes, and high blood pressure because your body does not work too much as there is no chemical use. Interestedly, there is the significant difference between the hygienic vegetable and safe vegetable because in fact, the hygienic vegetable is still exposed to the chemical use, though in a regulated amount. One of the most interesting point on how our body can absorb the vitamin and fiber is to refrain from consuming the uncooked vegetable. In addition, the fresh off garden vegetable could come with the parasite contaminated in the organic fertilizer made from the animal droppings, therefore you should cook the vegetable first especially the one that their stems are close to the soil. You should try green okra and Vitex trifolia which can remove parasite from your body. In case you are in need of plant-based vitamins, then choose the fresh fruits to eat. The taste of organic fruits and vegetables will surely impress you with the sweetness, firmness and crispness.



Eat safe meat, milk and egg

Animals must be the free-range animals that eat foods that are mixed from safe ingredients. Similar to human who eat food without chemicals, living a happy life far away from diseases without antibiotics and hormones in raising. Therefore, you should try to change the source of milk and eggs because they are these are products from female animals. Eat safe ingredients: At this point you should forget about MSG and seasoning.

If anyone gets raw materials from organic farming plots for cooking, they should know that the need of using these seasoning ingredients is very little because those raw materials all have good taste with the umami taste in themselves. Unless it is the sweet foods that you may need a little bit of sugar in it or if it is salty food, use only salt or soy sauce. Soy sauce and fish sauce that are said to be safe must come from organic ingredients or from natural water sources fermented together with specific strains of microorganisms and salts according to the appropriate time will give the taste that is delicious, safe, without carcinogens (3-MCPD) additives, colors, flavors, preservatives and MSG.



Eat up to 5 groups

There is a carbohydrate ratio that is suitable for your own energy. The most suitable in 1 meal is 2 parts vegetables, 1 part carbohydrate and 1 part protein. You should eat organic vegetables and fruits up to 400 grams per day, but for some people who need a lot of energy, you can add carbohydrate and protein. For the dessert lover, if you happen to eat too much carbohydrate and sugar, you should do some exercise at the end of the day. Try to eat everything in a proportionated ratio.



Eat your fresh cooked meal

Do not miss the important breakfast for the freshness of the body every day. Try to spare some time to cook yourself for the breakfast, or if you want the convenience, you may need to subsidize the restaurants where you know their sources of ingredients.



Eat good microorganisms consistently

Good microorganisms are Lactic acid bacteria often found in yogurt and fermented products. Both of these are the science of preserving invented by the ancient people who have solved the mystery of the goodness of microorganisms in modern times that have many values ​​for humans. This microorganism, in sufficient amount, will help make humans have good immunity, promote strong bowel. If the bowel changes, our body will also change. People who do not excrete will notice the results quite clearly, such as heat in, bad breath, body odor, irritability. We can choose raw materials to make yogurt that can be eaten easily with good microbial volume. The appropriate time to eat yogurt (natural flavor) should be after breakfast and which you should also eat fruits and vegetables at that breakfast as well.


Nowadays, new generation farmers are more active in organic farming. There are many safe food market options. We can hold a basket, carry a cloth bag, buy raw materials from these markets for cooking. Some people may contact to order themselves from farmers online or it would be great if anyone has a land and would like to try to plant themselves.


All of this, it would be great for whoever chooses to start at any point before, or change it all as what we want is to promote the awareness of "Eat safely" habit. Because life safety will lead to property safety; you are less sick, you see

doctor less often. Personally, I don't rely on modern medicine for nearly five years because I start to take care my health starting from food and learn to treat myself when sick with food. The choice of eating according to this approach is a quality-oriented diet rather than quantity.


If anyone eats from the raw material as described above, you should begin to notice that the same amount of food provides a fuller stomach. I want everyone to start trying to change the food source for yourself bit by bit. Then try listening to the sound from the body because we cannot all be sick for each other. If many people change their eating habits from today, they will help to save the world. Small farmers will have stable occupations in all areas. We will have good food and bright fresh air. Because the care of the ecosystem and the fertility of the soil is the heart of organic farming
