Farmer: Honored occupation of the Japanese

If you've ever been to Japan and have the opportunity to walk by the supermarket or stopover to buy souvenirs on the side of the street, you should have seen the shelves of local Japanese goods. In some places, there are images of farmers who grow or care for that product attached around the shelf. It made me wonder why a picture of a farmer was attached to the shelf when the consumer was interested in the product and the price more than the face of the farmer.

My Japanese friend tells me that most small-scale farmers in Japan are determined to produce their own horticultural crops to get good results every year on their own individual technique. The small-scale farmers do not have a lot of funds to advertise in newspapers or on TV to make them known as large-scale farmers who have enough funds to invest in using various technologies including the cutting and breeding of plants until becoming a species that has been invented and famous.

Therefore, small-scale farmers have a way to build trust and communicate directly with consumers that the crops they grow are organic crops that can be assured of safety by using themselves as a guarantee that they are good farmers who have cared and created agricultural products with determination and dedication. Because revealing one's identity in Japanese society is considered to be very rarely seen. On one hand, it can be understood that Japanese people are shy. But the other hand, Japanese people are quite private and reserved without wanting to get themselves involved in media or anything related to public disclosure., do not want to be in the media or do not want to relate to anyone. It can be seen that if the photograph of a Japanese person has not been requested in advance, which, if the person does not consent, those who take the picture may also be punished by law.

Therefore, public disclosure for Japanese comes in a form of consent as well as the need to reveal their transparency to the public.

The disclosure of identity by having a picture of a farmer attached next to their product signals the guarantee of sincerity and pride in being a respectable profession that produces good quality and chemical-free products delivered directly to consumers.

The example of this picture of chicken eggs that were raised by a Japanese farmer in Yamanashi Prefecture, who has taken a picture of himself to guarantee that the eggs from his farm are well cared for and have good quality. The eggs obtained from the farm are therefore fresh. Even using a toothpick to poke the yolk, it remains unbroken; showing how fresh the eggs really are. Because Japanese people like to consume eggs, therefore, choosing to buy chicken eggs is not just a factor of size and price, but also its quality. So, the freshness nurtured by the attention of the farmer is the most important thing.

This is why being a farmer is the pride of Japanese people.
