Can the Japanese fruits be picked and eaten from the trees?

"Fruit" is another well-known agricultural product in Japan. In each season, each province will have their own fruit to eat. If anyone who likes fruit, it can be said that Japanese fruit is another alternative that is fresh and tasty. No less than any other things on earth.

Another popular activity for tourists who love fruit is to pick fruit that can be eaten fresh from the tree, which you can eat as much as the time specified by each garden. The advantage of picking fruit is that you can taste the freshness of the freshly picked fruit from the tree and you can be sure that the fruit is not chemically terminated. This can be considered as another fun travel experience. However, don't forget to wash the fruit before you eat anyway.

Fruit picking activities in Japanese tend to end with the word Kari (狩り). In fact, Kari means "hunting," but it also applies to fruit picking activities. For example, if there is a strawberry picking, it shall then be called ‘ichigo kari’(い ち ご 狩 りor strawberry hunting.

Fruits that are popular for keeping and eating fresh from trees in Japan are strawberries, cherries, peaches, grapes, oranges, pears and apples. Prior to collection, the staff will explain and teach you how to collect it in order to properly pick the fruit without interfering the growth of other fruits. I think it would be fun if you could try to find an opportunity to visit Japan and participate in seasonal fruit picking activities as a fruit lover.

Aside from the apple farm mentioned in the previous article, this time I will introduce strawberry farms to those who are currently planning a trip to Japan as well.

You may visit the Dragon Farm which is the strawberry farm in Chiba where it is another important agricultural area in Japan. There are 14 varieties of strawberries to choose from, and you can taste unlimitedly within 30 minutes for 2,000 yen

Additionally, you can also try visit the Kinogawa Strawberry Farm which is a well-known strawberry plantation area in Wakayama prefecture located in the south of Osaka. Over there, you will be able to taste big and juicy strawberries which you can freshly pick and try for 1 hour at the price of 1,500 yen.

Moreover, you can also try visit Akiyama Gardening which is located in Fukuoka City, trying the Hakata Amaou Strawberries that can only be found in Fukuoka under the price of 1,500 yen for 1 hour.

Also, ther eis the Aso Health Farm. It is the largest strawberry farm on Kyushu that you are allowed to try their strawberries infinitely for 1,600-yen budget.

Not only the strawberry, but you can also try the pear and grape farm of Ogawa Farm located in Chiba. You can either pick one of the two choices with 1-hour time limit under 900 yen. I can assure you that their fruits are sweet and juicy.

Picking fresh fruits and eat them right away would not be possible if farmers use chemicals to grow because there must be a period after the harvest to allow the chemicals to fade before they can be eaten, making the freshness less delicious. In recent years in Thailand, there are many farms that turn to organic farming and allow tourists to taste fresh produce from the tree as well. However, we also hope to see more organic farms in Thailand because it means that Thai people would have an easier access to organic products without having to fly far to Japan as a result.
