Apple and its value added in the Japanese market

Speaking of fruits, I believe that "apples" must be one of Japan's most famous fruit, such as in Aomori Prefecture, which is located in the northeast of Japan and has a port from Honshu Island to Hokkaido route. In addition to having fresh, delicious seafood, this prefecture also has "apples" that have become agricultural products that create a great reputation and income for the local area as well.

In addition to being eaten fresh, apples can also be processed into other products such as apple pies, gelato, apple juice, jelly, jam, cakes, apples cakes and etc. There is quite an interesting product such as "Apple Chip", a well-known product in Aomori Prefecture that has sliced fresh apples into thin strips and then dried them up. Though the texture is crispy but still tastes like eating fresh apples.

For those who want to get the freshness and deliciousness of fresh fruit from the tree, there are apple farms at many prefectures that are open to those who are interested to collect and eat from fresh trees. With organic farming methods that do not contain chemical additives in the process, it is safe and assured that We can eat fresh apples from the tree comfortably.

From the picture, it's the apple garden in Fukushima prefecture that I had the opportunity to visit. The farm owner explained that in 2011 when Japan faced major earthquake, the most affected prefecture was Fukushima.

Aside from the area being destroyed by a tsunami, radioactivity from nuclear power plants is another thing that many people are worried about. As a result, food and agricultural products from Fukushima have been severely affected. Entrepreneurs and farmers need to revitalize their land and build confidence for consumers that agricultural products grown in Fukushima Prefecture are safe and at ease.

As for the apple farms that were going on at that time, there was public relations strategies on the freshness from the products grown through organic farming processes, and also increased sales value by creating patterns on the apple fruit into various characters or images according to customer needs. Then, the apples will become the only apples in the world. It is considered a farmer's marketing strategy that will add value to agricultural products as well.

In Thailand, we also have many organic farms that are open to the public to taste the fresh products or try to live as a farmer for a few nights such as ‘ Yudee Kindee Farm Stay', Chiang Mai, 'Baan Rai Ai Arun', Ranong, 'Ban Nok Farmstay', Nakhon Ratchasima, 'Rai Ruen Rom', Chiang Rai Province, 'Ban Klang Thung Organic Homestay', Kanchanaburi, and etc. If there is a chance, you all should try experience this!
